My favourite of your photo series so far. Thanks for sharing. Love the variety of environs/places. One day, I'd like to explore Ontario's small towns in detail. Thanks for piquing my interest.
Thanks, Nadine! There’s plenty of small towns to visit that aren’t too far from Toronto that could keep you busy exploring. They all have their individual charm. Hope you’re able to visit some at some point 🤞
Another wonderful set Mark. That gorge to the bridge looks a really interesting spot to wander, is it accessible... and that table and chairs with the distinct shadow of the table decoration is like a frame within a frame ,with the chairs either side and the curve of the table top.
They're great shots of the swallows too, such beautiful birds and such an uplifting sign of summer just on the horizon. And of course to round it off with that 'face' - well spotted...it reminds me of the profile of Charles de Gaulle (no disrespect meant there!)
What I like about your images each week Mark is that there's always one, often more, that make me smile or look more deeply and ponder them a little more, so thank you for that.😊
Yes, the gorge is accessible and I’ve been down there on a couple of occasions in the past. However, as the weather this time wasn’t too good, we decided against it.
I absolutely love tree swallows. They’re wonderful little birds and it’s always a treat to see them at this time of year. They migrate up here from the southern US to breed and then, around July, they start heading south again.
Pleased to hear that some of my weekly images make you smile. That’s very nice to know 😊
I always appreciate your lovely comments, Lin. Thank you 🙏
An enjoyable set, Mark. I love the unusual perspective of no5 - it took a moment for my brain to catch up properly with what I was looking at. It's a little surreal, as the castle seemingly floats high in the sky, the gully between the trees being a valley that one could walk along rather than precipitously downward. Great stuff. The little swallow perched on the thistle is beautiful. Well, as for those boots.. I can se the the silhouette of a cartoon dog in their silhouette - probably the bulldog from Tom and Jerry 😁. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you so much, Ralph. I hadn’t noticed that the shadow of the boots looked like a cartoon dog. However, now you’ve pointed it out I can’t unseen it 😆
Love them all, Mark! Thanks so much for sharing. Each has its own pull, but five and six especially. The one with David Street bridge feels like the edge of a myth ... as if a Goddess might wander into the frame at any moment. And six, with that table and those chairs, feels like an invitation to pause and talk ... to watch the garden grow in front of us, even with that little plastic flower keeping vigil on the table. And those last two, look like poems waiting for words to arrive. Excellent! 💖🙏
Thank you for your lovely comments, Deborah. There was actually a Goddess there when I took the photo of the David Street bridge. However, she carried on walking along the trail leaving me to take photos and then run to catch up with her 😄🙏✨
That’s a lot of good photos in one week, Mark. My favourite is the silhouette of the flower on the table in your Air BnB.
Thanks, Mark. The table and flower was just one of those little moments that catch the eye.
Love this series, Mark! Every image strong and interesting. And the sequencing natural and consistent.
Much appreciated, Marcello 🙏
These are great, Mark. Love the sailboat and boots, especially.
Thanks so much, Liza!

Strong jump to color!
Too strong???? 🤔
Not for me! But it did jump out. Cheers, Mark!
👍🏻
Great variety! Lovely post.
Thanks, KewtieBird!
