Thanks, Susanne. It was in the basement of a large building. It gave me the feeling of being outside the Principal’s office at school or some other equally unnerving place. The lighting really added to that feeling.
What a fun series! I especially like the ones in outdoor urban environments because they make me want to know the story behind the people who have previously used those chairs.
Thanks, Todd. I feel the same way about some of those ones too. How the heck did the chair get there? Was it dumped? Was it always there? So many questions and no answers.
It's between one and six for me...one because of the light and colours, six because of the window through to another window and the colour. This series would make a great zine!
Thanks, Lin. The first one does seem to be popular. This is an ongoing project for me (“oh look! A chair! I must get a photo”) and I do like the idea of a zine as a way to wrap it all up at some point.
All of them, together.
Thanks, Gary! Much appreciated.
I like the door with the LOVE written on the side.
Thanks, Clee!
they are all good but the light and colours in the first one stands out for me
Thanks for commenting, perfectlight.
Agreed! A weird, but good atmosphere in the first one!

I REALLY like these! Great colors and the arrangement/sequencing is perfect.
Thank you 🙏
Number 10 (I think) the armchair - it seems so melancholic there - so abandoned
Thanks for commenting, Richard. It does look very sad and abandoned doesn’t it. It was there for quite awhile before it was finally removed.
Fun series! Face down chair on the other side of the fence is a favourite. Totally done with being a chair!
Thank you! Happy to hear you liked the photos. Love the way you describe the upside down chair. Perfectly sums it up.
the green clapboard. love that one. and the two by the empty pool.
Thanks, Mark!
The one with the umbrella, ex aequo with the second from the top
Thanks, gery!
Great series. I love these!
Thank you so much, Nadine, and thanks for the restack.
This is really great! Got me thinking!! Chairs are such lovely sculptures! Thank you, Mark!
Thank you, Søren. Happy to hear that I’ve given you food for thought.
I love a good chair! I have two folders, one with chairs and another with benches…. what to do, what to do?? 😃 I will get to them one day.
Love this series!! Best of the best are maybe 1 8 9 12 for me. 💜!
Much appreciated, KewtieBird!

I can't pick! Love them all 🙌🏻
Thanks, Deborah! Much appreciated.
I adore shoots compiled like this!! and the street art as you know! Hope you’re doing well. ox
All good here, thanks. Hopefully, the same for you.
I kind of love them all haha. You had me counting them for sure.
I had to recount them myself several times to make sure I had the right number. Thanks for the comment!
These are all swell pictures. I see a book in your future.
Haha! Thanks, Rowland. I hadn’t had a book in mind but I now feel a little seed might have been planted.
Better hurry. I know a couple of lensmen (and women) who like photographing chairs.
